Berkeley & Regis

Berkeley sits between 38th and 52nd Avenues, Federal Boulevard and Sheridan, with Regis — named for the Jesuit university at 50th and Lowell — along its northern edge. The neighborhood grew up around Berkeley Lake and Rocky Mountain Lake, two natural lakes that are now the centers of large city parks; Berkeley Park adds a pool, a library, a dog park and the Scheitler Recreation Center, and Willis Case Golf Course fills the block to the northwest.

Tennyson Street between 38th and 46th Avenues is the neighborhood’s main street: restaurants, coffee, a bookstore, a theater and a First Friday art walk. The housing around it is genuinely mixed. Small 1890s Victorians and 1910s Craftsman bungalows sit beside 1940s brick ranches, and since about 2012 a large share of the 6,250-square-foot lots have been redeveloped as side-by-side duplexes.

Just across the Denver line in unincorporated Adams County, Berkley Shores is a community of new-construction townhomes and single-family homes built in 2020 – 2022 along Clear Creek Valley Park and Lake Pomponio, with the Clear Creek Trail out the front door and the G Line and B Line stations a short drive away. Alesia and her team handled the builder sell-out there — more than thirty-five closings — and she continues to represent buyers and sellers of Berkeley’s older homes, from a 1912 Craftsman on Federal Boulevard to a 1940 bungalow on Quitman Street.
